So I come home from work (yes, still at the pub - but only working with awesome people for another week) half bent over like a hunchback because of twice strained side muscles (first from coughing, second from twister like sleeping) and being a general annoyance to my mother - who needs someone to annoy her as dad is off working in Geneva at the mo. - when she insisted I eat something vaguely healthy. Lamb quince stew thing was in the fridge - so with the awesome, all yummy and lemony and taaaasty - with BROWN rice, not soggy gross brown rice, FLUFFY slightly crunchy brown rice, all ready to eat except not warm.... and what do I do?

Oh! Yes! that's right - I do a spectacular Tonks and drop it on the floor....

.. stew goes everywhere, including down my leg and it's cold and slimy and just smells so GOOD. I let out a very manly scream, mum is all 'darrrrling you haven't died out there have you?' which I reply, wailing, 'I had a accident all down my leg!' she ignores me, the wench, and goes back to watching a tv shows on Australian 1970's punk.

Back to the stew. it's okay, though splattered over everything, and I'm a little conflicted -
do I:
a) put it back in the tub and have the pie that is in the fridge?
b) rescue what is left of the stew and eat it?
c) throw the stew out and just have chocolate?

I choose b. well mostly b. I left some for someone else to have for lunch tomorrow hopefully Tom, who needs his immune system strengthed anyway the loser. Unfortunately all the juice was all everywhere and therefore my once spectacular dinner was slightly dry. I survived. yeah yeah.

Heee, but it amuses me, so it all works. And I am absolutely a klutz, so plenty of chances for you to laugh at me! Hurting is still bad! SAVE ME TOO!!

I am seriouslya Tonk most of the time - which is fun, mostly, with a healthy pinch of choas!

Even if you did show clumsiness and drop soup all over yourself. Ah well. There's nothing wrong with that. Just glad it wasn't hot! Mealsy often shows the same problem with tripping and falling (hmm... been far too long since I heard from her... poor little busy bee uni students). Anyway she's definitely one of my favoritest people so suffering from a distinct lack of grace is certainly NO problem. Actually the lamb stew sounds pretty good, especially with decent rice. I may cook that tomorrow, or at least try to. My rices and couscouses haven't turned out spectacularly lately but WHAT'S A MAN TO DO???

Australian punk? I know seriously NOTHING of this movement, although I watched a great documentary on dinosaurs discovered in Queensland the other night. Although not punk, dinosaurs are A okay by my book.

P.S. and by the way

Or if not feeling better then at least you know what's been going wrong! Owww.

The doco was actually pretty interesting - I speant most of my time mocking mum about it though and then complaining about work. The Punk in Melbourne was HUGE just like the rock and rolll - we are a awesome music city.

Which is precious little. Mostly just the Lucksmiths CD that Amelia--grr, miss her--bought me this summer... well that and bits and pieces of Architecture in Helsinki, Wolfmother (noisy seventies pastiche is love), Sleep Parade... it's a dreadful shame that Augusta can't get any decent music! I'd love to see Iron and Wine come here on tour. But it's probably because our pub and cafe owners skive out on, you know, paying artists. Creates an unfriendly environment. I love documentaries anyway. That one would have probably been as good as the one on race music--the first wave of rock--in the fifties in the US that I watched recently. African and Anglo alike, bonded together by moral outrage over Elvis Presley. Too amusing.

Hey, how do you like the nursing program you're in? My sister is considering going into one and I thought I'd ask someone who might know a little bit about the whole thing. Since I am, obviously, not a nurse.
