So I saw Serenity today and I'm completely broken. I love, hate and everything in-between Joss - He broke me good and proper and I'm still reeling from it all with my brain slowly dripping out my ears. I wanted to put my thoughts together in a pretty little package but I can't - there is just so much to take in and fangirl about but all I can't think is I can't believe Book and Wash are dead! I can't believe Joss broke my heart and I need more answers to questions left unanswered. So onto my rambling thoughts...  

.... starting with the Wash and Book being dead! Joss is a cruel, cruel man and he can never leave a excellent, pretty relationship alone – I loved Zoe and Wash’s interaction, their dialogue, especially in Firefly, was a big favourite – especially in War Stories, but now it’s all gone and all we have left is Zoe without Wash. I was talking to xanya about it after, about what Zoe will do now -we were both on the wavelengh that she will go on, if only to keep the slowly crumbling Mel together - You could tell he was falling part, xanya, the enternal 'shipper, suggested that it was because Inara was gone and the man was suffering from a broken heart but I think it was something bigger then that - Inara leaving just put a bigger crack in it, like he is rotting from the inside. Let's not even mention my heartbreak over Book - I'm still all teary eyed.

I loved River in this movie, I'm all excited about the questions answered in regard to her and what she can do - the glimpses of the style of her dreams – because really who doesn’t want to know what a semi-insane, more-than-genius psychic dreams like? Her fighting style was the prettiest to watch, all bendy and graceful - especially when she was slicing and dicing Reevers. 

That was another thing I loved - the history of the Reevers, where they came from and why they're all yay! with the rapeing and the eating of living, human flesh - the scene in the abandoned city with all dead bodies and the gases that are all of the aim to control how we think and act creeped me majorily out – the bruises on xanya's arm can testify to that - plus the effect of the Pax (the only latin word I understand!) is very cool is a very, very distrubing way. But anyway the city itself with its very shiny, clean and whiteness - being all with the happy on a summers day feeling, well except for the decaying bodies obviously, was more nightmare worthy in my mind then the traditional dark cellar or whatever – plus Simon was great in the scene – in fact I liked him a lot more in Serenity then I did in Firefly, I think it was because he was more grown up then he was, more in control and becoming not so much of just a reactor.

The dialogue is to die for - more Joss. I most enjoyed Jayne's lines – he is so ‘gun-ho I’m muscularly insane’ kind of guy and he tickles my fancy, but the snark between Inara and Mel brought the most giggles especially Mel’s line in relation to poetry – which if I had a less dodgy mind I might be able to remember in full.

I can't wait for screencaps to come out - I need icons as of the right now.

Oh, Twinness, will we ever get over it? I'm so emotionally damaged by it! In a good way, I guess. All the way home I just kept thinking and thinking about Wash and how Zoe is going to be. It's just too awful! I can't belive he's really dead! I can't believe it!

I'm going to write up my thoughts after I see it again because they'll probably be more coherent. I'm kind of dead tired today and I can't contemplate writing too much. Formulating intelligent sentences is hard!

See, Book's death didn't bother me as much because I never got so attached to him as the others (mainly 'cause he wasn't in it quite as much) but I was still really sad. Wash's death killed me! Why is Joss so evil? Why can't he ever leave a functioning, happy relationship the way it is? Oh, curse that evil Joss! I still love him with all my heart of course.

I would write more, but I've got to lie down before Alias. Oh, guess who I ran into at JB Hi-Fi! Justin! And he had just seen Serenity too. He loved it, of course. He's going again this weekend - just like us. I bought Scrubs Season Two, When Harry Met Sally and Down With Love, because I needed to heal the pain.

I expected Book's death - he was old and all father-figurey and he gave some soild advice to Mel before the baddies-dressed-as-goodies came but even though I expected it when he did go I couldn't believe it - did you see my tears! I'm going to miss that mans hair. Wash's killed me dead! It wasn't something I expected and Joss cut off his last words! I love, hate and everything inbetween that man - he's broken my heart.

Alias rocked my socks - the first ep not so much but the second one certainly did - GO MARSHALL!

If I had to pick anyone to die (I mean, if I had to guess that someone would die) I would have chosen Book because he was the oldest and... I don't know, the least necessary of the bunch. I think Joss went too far even for himself to kill off TWO characters, though! That's just.... grrr.

The second ep of Alias was TOO COOL. I loved it. Did it remind you of the Digger episode of Crossing Jordan where she's buried alive? Plus, flashback to season one with the train station and Syd and Vaughn!!!!

Joss is just evil - in the bestest, more addictive kind of way of course! I seriously wasn't expecting Wash's death - I was kind of expecting a death to come in the big fight I knew was coming but not at that moment and not Wash! I was actually expecting Jayne to do something heroic - joss killed me dead.

The dancing at the end almost made me a Syd/Vaughn 'shipper... almost. It was the cutest think every - coupled with the phone conversation!

Oh, Joss, why do you torture your loyal fans? Why? And why do we still love you with all our hearts? It's a funny business. You saw me - I was repeating "Wash isn't dead, Wash isn't dead" ad nauseam. I also thought Simon had died... I think I was a bit confused.

How adorably wonderful were Syd and Vaughn last ep?? We haven't had anything like that since practically Season Two! It's a shame, because if they even melt your Sarkney heart... bring on the S/V lovin'!
