I did my first Politics practice exam yesterday, I marked it myself and didn't go as well as I thought - but that’s why it a practice exam right? Politics frustrates me to the teeth - which is probably the only reason I'm not applying for any politics courses, even though the on at La Trobe sounds awesome.
Before I do anything else I must apologize in advance for my behavior over the next month and a half - my final school exams are coming up and I think I'm just about to go into panic mode - no actually I think I've already started. So I don't know how often I'll be around and when I am I think I might be a little insane. So in conclusion - fun times ahead!
Anyhow now I'm exhausted so naturally it's icon time!

Date: 2005-09-25 11:16 am (UTC)1+2. Oh, Seth. Love these two. I think I like the second one better, but only because I um utterly amazed at the symmetry of this icon. I do love symmetry! The composition of this icon is PERFECT and I love your use of... is it hard light? Whatever it is that gets the orange box in the middle looking so pretty. The text is great too.
3. It's my girlfriend! Well, one of the many. And, yes, she certainly is a minx... I would know... Love the two image thing you've got going here. The cropping is fantastic! This is the kind of styled icon I always want to make but can never get to look right.
4. Mmm, it's Nicole again, and I like that. I love the picture you've used - isn't she just so lovely? Again with the great composition! Plus, "seduce"? Yeah, DEFINITELY. What does the other text say? I think she looks very seductive, so that was a good choice.
6. It's JM! It's my wonderful JM! I love her so much. I this icon! I love you! There's too much love! (sorry, random Belle & Sebastian lyric). You've cropped it so perfectly. Hmm, I made an icon of this picture and it said "smile" too, strangely enough. Maybe it's because of her beautiful smile? Anyway, this is one of my favourites of the lot. It's nice and simple so, so pretty. Well done!
11. This is such a good icon! It's another one of my favourites. I love the two images (I'm a real fan of that technique) especially with the colour difference. Recently I've been really getting into the whole black&white/colour thing. He certainly is very "handsome" here.
12. You are so good with this style! It's like that Syd one from the last batch and I love it. I really like how you see both halves of his face but they're not together - great cropping. I also really like the brushes on this one.
13. Oh, look at those eyes! He's doing his trademark forehead wrinkle and it makes me adore him so much. The cropping really works because you don't need to see anything else to know how nummy he is. I also really like the hard light (?) strip again. It's a good technique!
14. Gah, could he BE any better looking? I couldn't love this icon anymore if I tried, I don't think. The colouring is really nice and soft in this, and I love the brushes in the background. Mmmm, he's too pretty to be allowed. TOO PRETTY.
16. Can you guess what I'm going to say? I'll give you a hint - it's got something to do with... two images! Good guess. You've used it again PERFECTLY in this icon, and the box in the middle only adds to the symmetry. Plus, black&white/colour - another bonus. And she really is beautiful. So beautiful. Nice text.
17. This is another of my favourites! I absolutely can't get enough of the way you've split her in two like that - it works so well. The lighting is also really pretty, and I ADORE the text. Freedom is beauty! That's really nice.
18. This is my favourite icon out of the whole batch! The colours... oh, the pretty, pretty colours... so gorgeous. You know how I feel about colours. The brushes also work really well. What font is that, by the way? I like it. I love this whole icon!
19. Oooh, I really love the cropping of the bigger image and the way the second one is placed over it. You get to see the ful image but... in a more detailed way. Grrr, I'm not good with the articulation tonight!
20. Again, another one of my favourites. Your blending skills are so good! I love the way it looks so ghostly. I think the colouring/lighting of this one really has a great effect on the icon. It's very... spectral or whatever. The text placement gets a thumbs up too.
Ooooh, practice exams... I have them tomorrow and I don't know anything! You've got to help me. HELP ME! I know exactly how you feel, schoolwise. We'll just have to complain about it as much as we can!
