I haven't watched The West Wing for that long but from the pilot episode I fell in love with Leo, I can't tell you why - well I can but I can't put it into pretty words but I loved him, he was, and is, my favourite male character. I just got told John Spencer died, he was only 58. John Spencer was the most extraordinary actor, he will be missed so much. My thoughts go out to his family and friends.

I'm right there with you, Twinness. I'm still really sad about it. I don't think it's properly sunk in, actually. He seemed like such a really great guy! Anyway, I guess he lived long enough to have made a substantial mark on the world, which is more than lots and lots of other people can say.

Did you read the obiturary in The Age? It was so sweet and sad and lovely! I can't beleive he's gone either, I guess because we are continuing to watch The West Wing and there he is, right in front of us. Death is just stupid.

Yeah, I read it! I thought it was really cool that it was in there. Er... did you happen to read the death notices underneath that day? 'Cause there was SERIOUSLY someone in there called - wait for it - Jumfa-Joy. It was the mother of someone who'd died. Why on EARTH would anyone name their daughter "Jumfa-Joy"???? It's way more like a racehorse's name.

I didn't gte a chance to read them but now I kind of wish I had. People are so particular!
